I am replacing the thrust bearing on an Atlantis washer and can't get enough room on the shaft to replace the C/E clip into the groove. I am using a .032 washer and it is still tight. What can I do to make this easier?

I recently purchased a general purpose half hp electric motor and am trying to hook it up to my lathe with a reversing controller switch. The switch is a Furnas Electric Co. style R4, a 115 volt, six-post reversing switch. I need help connecting the switch to the new Emerson motor and would appreciate a wire diagram for this setup.

My dryer does not produce heat, it turns on and goes through the cycle with cold air coming out the vent. Additionally, my Maytag Atlantis washing machine is not spinning as well as it used to, requiring repeated spin cycles to help with drying. What could be the issues with both appliances and what are the recommended solutions?
