Our fridge was off for 2 weeks due to an ice storm in Kentucky. When we replugged it, the ice maker arm moved up and down but stopped making ice. The area where ice forms has frozen water, but no ice is being ejected. What do you advise?

I have an old wooden Kelvinator fridge from a bar in France that runs and cools constantly, never resting. I assume it's the thermostat, but I can't find a model number anywhere to order the part. The thermostat has a knob to turn with settings 1-6 warmer, 1-3 cooler, defrost, vacation, and off. The thermostat has 'SA594 HE3' written on the back. What can I do to identify and replace the thermostat?

We have a vertical laundry center, Maytag brand Model MHS2000AWW. The washer shuts down immediately after each wash cycle, and then you have to turn it on again for the next wash cycle and/or drying cycle. What could be the problem?
