My 15-year-old GE side-by-side refrigerator/freezer has suddenly stopped keeping things cold. We live in rural Vermont and it's hard and expensive to get service. Should I: 1) try to get service, 2) try to fix it myself, or 3) purchase a new one (if so, what model do you recommend)?

I recently purchased a house and noticed mold around the door seal boot of my Frigidaire washer model FAFS4272LWO. I ordered and installed a new seal boot, but now the washer door does not close as tightly as before and pops off easily. The door was closing perfectly fine before the new seal boot installation. What could be the issue and how can I fix it?

My Maytag Legacy Series Washing Machine partially fills with water until it reaches a certain level, at which point it begins to drain...while still filling with water...in an endless cycle. What could be causing this issue and how can it be fixed?

My GE model ZIS420NRD has a rattling sound when the climate control dampers open to keep the drawer cold. The noise occurs about 1 or 2 seconds after the upper damper door opens and the fan starts running. I can't see the lower damper door without disassembling more. Is it likely to be the lower damper making the noise, and where can I find a diagram of the climate control assembly to see how to disassemble it?

In our 'side by side' freezer and refrigerator, the freezer is not working properly. On the right side of the freezer, by a slide-ice maker, a red light is flashing. What could be the issue?
