My GE Spacesaver washing machine stopped running in the middle of the cycle, full of water and won't go into the spin and rinse cycle. I tried resetting it, but it failed again at the same point. The washer is approximately 25 years old, and I can't see or access any drain hoses. I'm worried about potential water damage to my neighbor's home below me. What could be the issue and what should I do?

The issue is likely a shorted lid switch, which is preventing the washing machine from completing it...

I bought a stove two years ago and it developed a crack at the lower left corner of the door. The crack is in the wall of the firebox, starting at the lower left corner of the door.
