My Maytag heavy duty supersize capacity quiet series 200 12 cycle dryer starts and heats but stops after about a minute. The entire dryer shuts off. I have checked the lint trap and removed it from the duct work, but it still stops. What could be the issue and what should I do?

I have a Miele gas cooktop, KM 34XX series, about five years old. The burners don't light easily and go out easily, especially on low settings. I tried disassembling but found no clear issues. Could the burners be out of alignment from cleaning? What maintenance or repairs are needed?
