My KitchenAid dishwasher model KUDS30IVBL4 has a HEAT DRY lock button that won't go off, preventing the dishwasher from starting and disabling other buttons. The dishwasher is at least 5 years old. I've tried turning off the circuit breaker, but it comes back on with the same issue. What can I do to resolve this?

My Whirlpool dishwasher, model WDTA50SAHZ, is not completing a cycle. It is only six months old and was purchased at Lowes. The issue started yesterday, and I have tried turning off the circuit breaker, resetting the dishwasher's computer, and running repeat cycles in different modes. The dishwasher runs in normal mode but stops ten minutes into the cycle with the blue light blinking. What could be the issue and what should I do next?
