Our freezer doesn't seem to be freezing evenly. We have some ice packs that are solid, but have had to throw out some ice cream stored next to each other. We have tried turning the temperature to the coldest setting and readjusting items in the space to keep some kind of air movement. The fridge section is working without issue, just the freezer is the problem. What could be causing this and what steps can be taken to diagnose and potentially fix the issue?

We just moved into our home and the prior owner had a Marvel under counter refrigerator. The 'door ajar' notification on the top of the door lights up and the unit beeps unless I press the door very hard or slam it when I close it. Even then, sometimes it comes back on after I thought it was off. What could be causing this issue and how can it be fixed?
