My Bosch dishwasher stopped with an E16 error code. I turned off the power, cleaned out the filter, and the error code remained. I turned off the power overnight, and this morning there is no error code. Is it safe to use? I’m worried about flooding. Local repairman can’t come until June. What happened just before the error code appeared was that I opened the dishwasher because I thought the cycle was complete and then saw the error code. This was the first time it has happened. What have I tried so far? Last night I unplugged the machine after seeing the code and cleaned out the filter at the bottom. Also smoked up water in the filter hole with a towel. Tried turning the power on again and still had the E16 code. Unplugged it last night and then plugged it in again the morning. No error code this morning.

My Kenmore refrigerator, which is 12 years old and has French doors on top with a freezer below, cuts in and then shuts off several times before completely stopping. The display lights turn on when it tries to start but go blank when it stops, though the interior lights still work. What could be the issue and how can I fix it?

I replaced a Copeland KAJB-007E-IAA-800 compressor on a commercial freezer. After replacement, the compressor does not start and does not even sound like it's trying to start. I have 120V to the compressor, tried a new start capacitor, and checked the Ohm readings on the compressor windings, which are higher than specified.
