My Series 80 Kenmore washing machine flooded my house last week. It kept filling with water and didn't sense that it was full, causing an overflow. The machine will not drain, spin, or go through any other part of the cycle. I had to bail by hand. The machine is 14 years old and I have paid to have other work done on it in the past 5 years. What needs fixing, how much could it cost, and should I just replace it at this time because of the age?

I have a Haier Beer Dispenser Model HBF05EABB that is no longer keeping things cold. The top quarter of the cooling element is cold and gets covered in ice, but the rest of the cooling element is warm and the overall fridge is warm. What could be the issue and what steps can I take to fix it?

In 1986, I installed two matching Hampton Bay hugger fans with 4 blades each, 4 outer lamps, and 1 center lamp. One of the fans is not working; the light works fine, but the fan motor just hums. Can this fan be repaired, and how do I go about it? I am 86 years old and can stand on a sturdy ladder, but the mechanical part is what bothers me. Should I get a repairman to look at it for me if necessary?

My dishwasher will not fill with water. I checked the overflow valve and it does not appear to be stuck, the hose is not kinked, and the intake valve is on. What should I check next?

I have a Whirlpool Gold Model# XXXXX gas freestanding range. Every now and then it shuts off while the oven is in use. Usually, pressing cancel/off resets it, but recently we've had to unplug it to reset the electronics. What's making it do that?
