Our Smeg cooktop's lights are all on and we cannot use the stove. It has been going on for two weeks, and we had a brief power surge. We've tried resetting it by turning off the power at the breaker and leaving it off for an hour, but it hasn't worked. Is it better to repair or get a new one, considering it's four years old and we use it as an Airbnb?

I have a frigid air, quiet, pack, stackable washer and dryer that is only two years old. I recently replaced the transmission due to grinding noises during the agitation cycle. The new transmission works well, but now the washer is off balance during the spin cycle, causing it to pop off the suspension rod springs and fail to complete the spin cycle. I've checked everything I can think of and am unsure of the cause.
