The oven on our GE stove was turned on to clean the drippings/deposits on the bottom of the oven and ran for the time recommended. However, my wife forgot to remove the silicon protector pads that were on the front edges of the racks. When we opened the oven to check on the results of cleaning, we found everything inside was coated with a gray substance that is like a powder that clings to racks, oven walls, and inside of the door and glass. We vacuumed what would come off. The main problem is the door and glass which we tried to wipe off with detergent, but not successfully. What advice can you give us to clean this up?
