We purchased and installed a top-of-the-line central vacuum system in our new home 5 years ago. Initially, it had good suction, but over the past 2 years, it has gradually lost efficiency to the point of being unusable. The suction is now minimal, and we have tried blowing out the lines with a shop vac, which shows good suction, indicating no plugged lines. The filter is clean, and the system starts with fair suction but loses it within a few minutes. Is this repairable, or do we need to replace the system?
