When I was in the UK, we used small halogen space heaters that were effective and relatively inexpensive to run. I am now back in the US and trying to find similar heaters. I see heaters called radiant. Are these the same type but called differently here? Also, which type of heater is most cost-effective in the US? My house heating system is oil, which is prohibitive.
