I have a 12-year-old GE Microwave/Convection Cooking Center. When I pressed the microwave express cook, the unit gave off a sizzling sound behind the console and didn't heat the food. I tried it again, and the same thing happened, resulting in a lockout. The convection oven is working fine, but the microwave part seems to be malfunctioning. I called GE repair, but the service man can't come until November 15, more than two weeks away, and then I would have to wait another week for parts and repair. Any alternative solutions would be appreciated.

I bought a Whirlpool dishwasher in March 2015. The front panel has a blue light that used to come on as soon as I hit the start button. Recently, the brightness of the bulb faded, and now it is totally dark. I know my warranty is up, but I thought those front bulbs would last forever. Any suggestions? Model wdf520padw. (378060). Can that bulb be replaced, and what is involved in replacing it?

I have a Maytag washer, model MVWX500XW0, that does not seem to go through each cycle on its own. It fills and agitates, then stops, and I have to manually turn the dial to rinse and spin, and then it stops again. I have to repeat this process for each step. What could be the issue and how can I fix it?

I have an Amana fridge, model ARB9059CS, which is 15 years old. The bottom freezer no longer freezes, but ice blocks form at the back and bottom. Should I try to get it serviced - is it worth it, or should I get a new fridge?

My Hotpoint HSS25GFPAWW refrigerator's compressor is not turning on, even though all fans and lights work. The compressor will turn on if jumped at J8 and J11 on the motherboard. There is no voltage to the compressor when measured from J7 to J8. What could be the issue, and how can I fix it?
