I have ConvertX, which converts my film files to DVD. The DVDs play perfectly on my computer's media player but won't play on my home DVD player, which is supposed to play all formats. I have set it to record in PAL for Europe. What settings should I use to ensure compatibility with my home DVD player?

I have an HP Compaq notebook PC (nx9420) that recently locked up. I reinstalled the Operating System on a FAT32 system, but it now shows an 'unknown operating system' error and runs out of RAM during boot. I tried reinstalling the OS again on an NTFS partition, but I want to remove the multiple installations and repair the original OS. How can I do this?

I have a Toshiba Qosmio G20 laptop. It was out of warranty, and I needed to replace the fans. After replacing the fans and upgrading the memory, the laptop won't boot up, showing a black screen even with a secondary monitor. I checked for loose connections but couldn't figure it out.
