I have several old DVD copies of a flight training program that I previously recorded from VHS tapes. These DVDs only play on the specific VHS/DVD recorder I used to create them and not on any other device, including my computer. How can I view or copy these DVDs onto my computer?

I have an HP2710m 27-inch monitor plugged into my computer via an HDMI cable, and there is a black border around my entire screen, so the display is not using the full display area. I am using a PC with Windows 7 and the Screen Resolution is set at full 1920x1080. Why is this border appearing, and how can I fix it?

I have an Acer Aspire 5100 with several issues: incorrect characters appearing when typing, continuous beeping at startup, and windows opening off-screen with oversized icons and background. Additionally, the computer displays a 'Checking file system' message repeatedly and won't fully boot to the desktop. What could be causing these issues and how can they be resolved?
