How can I reset my Kindle password, and is it the lock screen password or the Amazon account login password that I need to reset?

I am unable to change my password on WS. I was given a temporary password '12345678' by Eric, but it is not being accepted. I have several computers, including a generic Dell, HP All-in-One, and HP Desktop PC. I am currently using the generic Dell. How can I change my password on the computer?

My Toshiba Qosmio F750 with Windows Home Premium won't go past requesting HDD1/SSD1 password. This issue has been ongoing for a long time, and I've tried everything.
