I'm trying to set up a new magicJack device and having problems. The phone won't activate, and I'm not very good with computers. My computer is a Dell, and I think I installed updates recently. The magicJack is connected to the modem after going through the setup steps, but I can't make or receive calls.

I got hacked by someone who convinced me that my computer was being hacked by someone from Russia. I let him access some things I shouldn't have, and he almost scammed me. A month later, I received a voicemail from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, saying that my computer was being hacked from another country and to call them. Does Microsoft monitor computer activity and make calls to users?

I'm having trouble resetting my phone. After trying to add a security code, it locked me out and is not recognizing my email or phone number. My email is ***@******.*** and my number is (###) ###-####. I'm using Google as my email service provider and recently installed updates. My phone is a Verizon 4G Samsung Note 5.
