When trying to open document files on my HP computer with Windows 10, they appear as Word documents at the bottom of the screen but do not open fully for reading and editing. What could be causing this issue and how can it be resolved?

I can't log into my webmail. I received a new password, but it still doesn't work. I have tried all the passwords I have used, and none work. I am using an HP Sprout computer with Windows 10. The last time I logged in was some time last week. I normally log in from my computer. Is there any device or program that can still log into my email account currently?
