A 6-week-old German Shepherd puppy had a seizure after receiving shots and later died. The puppy had no previous neurological issues, and the litter mates are fine. Could the seizure and death be due to an overdose of the vaccine?

I have a 15-year-old male Papillon named Gizmo. He has diminished hearing, sleeps most of the day, and recently started coughing when picked up at night. His vet found an irregular heartbeat and did not clean his teeth. Gizmo also urinates in his crate at night, requiring frequent baths. Is there a connection between these issues, and is there medication to help with the nighttime urination?
