Hi, I have an 8-year-old Boston Terrier who sleeps on the foot of the bed at night. I often wake up in the morning with brown circular discharge on the white comforter. The dog is a neutered male, weighs 25 lbs, has no history of illness, and is not on any medications. What could be causing this discharge?

My 8-year-old dog, Lee, is having difficulty walking, sitting on stairs with her back legs in a seated position and front legs straight on the stairs, and is very shaky and panting heavily when laying down. She sometimes has leg cramps while running and can jump on the couch with encouragement. She is eating and has gone to the bathroom normally, and does not vocalize pain.
