My 72lb Lab/Chow mix received a steroid injection two days ago to stop seasonal itching and chewing. Although the itching has decreased, she now has diarrhea every 2-3 hours and has stopped eating. My vet suggests it's her nerves causing the diarrhea and recommends Pepto Bismol, which hasn't worked. When will the injection wear off, and should I start her on oral cortisone tablets given her reaction to the injection? Is the injection causing the diarrhea?

My 12-year-old springer was exercising on dense common land and later swam at the beach. After leaving the water, he appeared unwell, vomited, and had a swollen tail with a hairless, red, and swollen area. The vet treated it with antibiotics, but the swelling returned. The vet then removed 90% of his tail, leaving a short stub, which is now swollen again without the red inflamed area. The vet suspects a tumor. Do you agree?

Our 9-year-old female mixed breed (Beagle/Terrier) has a small buildup of dark material in the corner of both eyes. It wipes clean with water but leaves a reddish stain on her white muzzle. She is not having any problems seeing, is not rubbing her eyes, and the whites of her eyes are not red. The condition has been visible for about a month. What could this be and should we be concerned?
