My 10-year-old Golden Retriever, Ginger, has been on Cipro and Doxycycline for over 3 months and has been treated with Quadritop ointment. She has open sores that she licks and scratches, and she smells like infection. The vet initially thought it was fleas, then suggested a food change, and later mentioned it might be a bacterial infection. What could be causing her skin issues, and what should I do next?

My 12-week-old King Charles Cavalier puppy, Spice, yelps intermittently and holds her left hind leg off the ground at times. She also bites at her leg and licks an area about an inch down her tail. She has been taking anti-inflammatory medicine, but the vet hasn't identified the issue. X-rays showed no abnormalities. Could this be a pinched nerve or another issue?
