I am looking for newer options in treating a dog with inflamed pancreas. My current dog is an 8-year-old English Setter with high energy and high metabolism. She stopped eating her kibble, and after trying various home-cooked meals, she began vomiting. The vet diagnosed her with pancreatitis and prescribed medication. However, she refuses to eat the prescription food and has lost significant weight. I am concerned about her weight loss and looking for guidance on a diet that can help her maintain or gain weight without exacerbating her pancreatitis. Additionally, I want to understand if there are any studies supporting a diet with normal fat content for pancreatitis and if pancreatitis is common in senior dogs. What can I discuss with my vet to improve our progress?

My vet has prescribed 100mg Lyrica tid for my 12-year-old German Shepherd, who may have lumbar spinal stenosis symptoms causing constant tail chewing. How can I obtain this medication less expensively, as I have been quoted $173 for 10 days of therapy at Walmart?

My 12-year-old dog has been panting excessively for a couple of months. It began when she was treated with prednisone and an antibiotic for an ear infection. Could there be any connection?

My 7-pound puppy accidentally drank a small amount of Bloody Mary and is now acting clumsy, very sleepy, and keeps falling asleep. He has eaten normally and has not vomited, but I'm concerned about potential alcohol poisoning. Should I get his stomach pumped, and if not, how should I monitor him?
