I found a stray dog and have taken her into my home with the goal of finding her a permanent home. She has nasty smelling feces, drinks a lot of water, and is not trained. My own dog is getting confused when I give commands to the new dog. What amount of water should an almost 1-year-old dog drink, and how can I stop the confusion for my dog when giving commands to the new dog?

My dog is at an animal hospital due to severe bloating and retching without producing anything. X-rays showed her stomach was distended but not GDV. After releasing gas, they kept her for observation. She vomited food and grass, and a recent x-ray suggests she ate a cloth object. The vet gave her antiemetics, which I'm concerned about as her body was trying to expel the object. Was giving her antiemetics a good idea, and why?
