What would cause an eleven-year-old, female, Schnauzer to have bloody, mucousy diarrhea every two weeks? I adopted Gracie, a rescue dog, last July. Her history is unknown, and she is a very nervous dog. Our veterinarian has put her on a low dose of Prozac. Last cycle of this problem, the veterinarian found she had pinworms, which have been treated. Within the last two weeks, she has also developed a cough (not persistent).

My daughter has an 11-year-old large pony mare that gets very spooky and screams a lot when she is in heat. My vet suggested depo for her and gave her a 600mg shot last week. It does seem to be helping, but not as much as I would like. How much and how often can I give it?

Hi, I think my 7-year-old Schnoodle has a tick just behind his ears on the back of his head. What should I do to confirm if it's a tick or something else, and how should I handle it if it is a tick?

We live in NJ, just moved here from a non-humid climate in CO. Our dog, a 35lb Blue Heeler mix, has been biting and itching her skin raw the past week. I have checked for fleas and don't see any, plus she is on K9 Advantix II for fleas/ticks. I ran into someone who said her dogs are allergic to the grass here, and was wondering if that could be it? How do I stop her from itching so her skin can heal?

My Havanese, who I've had for about 5 months, has started eating other animal feces he finds on our walks around the park. I have tried to keep a diligent eye out and walk him on a short lead. This behavior began around the time I changed his dog food. I'm not sure if he's eating dog feces or those of wildlife like rabbits, deer, ground hogs, and geese. What can I do to stop this behavior?
