What would cause an eleven-year-old, female, Schnauzer to have bloody, mucousy diarrhea every two weeks? I adopted Gracie, a rescue dog, last July. Her history is unknown, and she is a very nervous dog. Our veterinarian has put her on a low dose of Prozac. Last cycle of this problem, the veterinarian found she had pinworms, which have been treated. Within the last two weeks, she has also developed a cough (not persistent).

My 18-pound dog has a stinky odor due to his anal glands, which occasionally leak despite having regular bowel movements and being expressed by a groomer every 5 weeks. What can I do to manage this issue without surgery?

A 13-year-old bichon was mistakenly given an additional 24.3 mg of phenobarb tonight. The routine order is to take 1.5 tablets (16.2 mg) every 12 hours for a seizure disorder. No untoward effects have been noted at this time. What should I look for?

My 14-year-old bichon cross had an episode where he made a noise like a dog hit by a car, became limp and unresponsive, then recovered quickly. He seems fine now, but could this have been caused by a nightmare, and should I take him to the vet?

I have an 8-year-old neutered male dog. Today, I noticed his penis is not retracting as it normally does. I'm concerned about the possibility of infection. Is there anything I can do for him?
