I have an Aussie-Pit mix that goes to the dog park regularly. She had one dose of Heartguard and within a few days, I noticed her drooling. She also had whipworms that I treated weeks after that, and each time she gets soft stools and a bit depressed for days. I skipped last month's Heartguard as I researched what's best for her in treatments of all worm possibilities in view of her regular visits to the dog park and dog training classes. Can you give me a suggestion for a safe heartworm and intestinal worm preventative for a dog with the MDR1 mutation and has already shown sensitivity to one dose of heart medication and Panacur?

My 8-year-old ridgeback got into the trash and started showing symptoms of discomfort, including whimpering, shaking, ears back, tail between legs, and refusing to eat. Two weeks ago, he had similar symptoms after getting into the trash, and the vet diagnosed it as back pain, prescribing Tylenol and muscle relaxants. We started the same medication regimen this morning. What could be causing his discomfort, and should we be concerned about his back pain recurring?

I have a 12-year-old dog named Mini Snoozer who has been on prednisone pain pills and muscle relaxers for a back injury. Suddenly, she stopped eating, drinking, and moving, became dehydrated, and her protein count is down. Her lungs have fluid, and her heart rate is elevated. The vet did blood work and pulled fluid from her lung but found nothing. What could be the issue?

I have a 6-year-old bunny who is not standing, her head is turning to the side, and she is breathing heavier than usual. She has not been out of the cage in a few days, and it seems she might have broken her back due to the way her hind leg is not under her as usual. What could be wrong with her, and what can I do for her?
