Despite treatments including antibiotics, B12 injections, pancreatic enzymes, prednisolone, clavaseptin, colvasone, and a specialized diet, the diarrhea persists, leading to significant weight loss. Is there anything else we can try before considering surgery?

I have an outdoor cat, a dog on heartworm medicine, and a recently adopted puppy from a shelter who was throwing up roundworms after deworming. I also have a four-year-old child. What are the risks for all of us in terms of getting worms, and how can I prevent this from escalating? Additionally, my dog is vomiting and acting lethargic; could this be related to the roundworm infection, or is it likely unrelated?
