My 12-year-old dog, Tina, is shivering, stumbling, lethargic, and not interested in food or treats, though she will drink water. She has no visible foot wounds, no vomiting or diarrhea, and has defecated normally earlier. She is coherent but closes her eyes a lot and prefers to lay down. What could be causing these symptoms and what should I do?

My 18-pound dog has a stinky odor due to his anal glands, which occasionally leak despite having regular bowel movements and being expressed by a groomer every 5 weeks. What can I do to manage this issue without surgery?

A 13-year-old bichon was mistakenly given an additional 24.3 mg of phenobarb tonight. The routine order is to take 1.5 tablets (16.2 mg) every 12 hours for a seizure disorder. No untoward effects have been noted at this time. What should I look for?

My 14-year-old bichon cross had an episode where he made a noise like a dog hit by a car, became limp and unresponsive, then recovered quickly. He seems fine now, but could this have been caused by a nightmare, and should I take him to the vet?

I have an 8-year-old neutered male dog. Today, I noticed his penis is not retracting as it normally does. I'm concerned about the possibility of infection. Is there anything I can do for him?
