My 13-year-old Chihuahua has started to collapse and can barely stand, but he's eating and drinking regularly with some help due to his lethargy. He doesn't have any known existing conditions or medications. What could be causing this and does it require immediate attention?

My 7-year-old German Shepherd mix, Ruby, has lost a significant amount of weight over a couple of months and has recently gone blind. Her behavior remains largely the same, except for needing retraining due to her blindness. She eats well, drinks several bowls of water daily, and remains cuddly and playful. However, I'm concerned about her weight loss and the sudden onset of slower walking and vomiting since this morning. Should I take her to an emergency vet, or can I wait until regular vet hours?
