My 3-year-old Maltese Yorkie has been experiencing recurring diarrhea despite being on a bland diet and dewormer. The symptoms return when transitioning back to his regular dog food, which he has eaten for years. He has multiple bowel movements each morning, with the second being large and soft, and the third containing blood and mucus. Switching to a rice diet temporarily resolves the issue, but adding turkey back in causes symptoms to return. What could be causing this and what steps should be taken next?
