My 8-year-old female lab had surgery for a fatty mass removal in her belly area. The wound seems to be getting worse and looks infected. She is currently on 500 mg of Keflex twice a day. How long will it take for the antibiotics to start working and for the wound to heal? Is there anything I can do at home to help?

Large black-blue spot on the inside hind leg of my dog, Mori, a 2-year-old fawn pug. The spot looks like a red-rimmed bruise but isn't. It has been there for a few months, has gotten bigger, and can shrink with steroid cream but won't go away. Mori is in good health, good weight, up to date on shots, and neutered. What could this spot be and how should it be treated?

My 6-month-old puppy was prescribed Proviable Probiotic for occasional mucus in her stool. After the first day of use, she had a normal stool in the morning, but later that day, she had soft stool followed by a small amount of diarrhea. Is this normal when introducing a probiotic?

My dog, Chloe, has been in pain since last Wednesday. She yelps when in certain positions and getting up and down from furniture. She was initially thought to have anaphylactic shock from a bite or sting, but the pain seems to be related to something else. Should we go for an x-ray or other tests, or wait to see if she continues to improve with the current medication?
