My dog, a 2.5-year-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Laurel, may have broken her toe. She was running around yesterday evening when I noticed her licking at it and then not putting weight on it, with significant swelling afterward. There was no bleeding or visible puncture wounds. What should I do, and is it necessary to see a vet immediately?
