Our 9 1/2 year old boxer's anal gland is swollen. It's very tight and swollen/red, but has not started oozing. Anything I can do for him? What about giving him an aspirin/day?

Now, it looks slightly larger, but Ellie shows no signs of pain or limping. Ellie is a pit bull mix, almost ten years old, and has PIMA, currently on Mycophenolate and Cyclosporin. What could be causing the enlarged hock, and what should be the next steps in diagnosing and treating this issue?
