Our boxer mix, Belle, who is almost 10 years old, was fine when we left but when we came home, she was upstairs and didn’t want to come down. After walking her down slowly and taking her outside where she urinated, she now seems to be breathing hard and just laying with her front legs spread apart. Do I need to get her to an animal hospital?

My Pekingese, Lacie, aged 11 years and weighing 15 lbs, has been scooting around the carpet due to an itchy peepee area. She has licked and bitten the area, causing it to bleed. I have cleaned the area with witch hazel, applied bactine, let it dry, and then put anti-itch cream. I also gave her children's Benadryl. She hasn't been eating as usual and hasn't thrown up since licking the cream. She saw the groomers last week, maybe they clipped too close. What else can I try until I can find a vet?

My dog, Charlie, a 9-year-old Mail-Shih, has been experiencing vomiting and loss of appetite since July 18. Despite multiple vet visits, rounds of antibiotics, and normal blood tests except for an elevated white blood cell count, Charlie is not improving. He is currently on an oral antibiotic twice a day, a daily antibiotic injection, and anti-nausea medication. He is being syringe-fed puréed food with vitamins and calorie supplements. What could be causing Charlie's symptoms and what further diagnostic steps should be considered?
