My dog just had a 4-minute episode where his whole body was shaking, almost vibrating, which happened in cycles of a few seconds on and off. A few days before I adopted him, he had several seizures and started taking medication, which has been working. I'm trying to figure out if this was a seizure or something else to be concerned about. He wandered off and crawled into my lap before the episode started, and he seemed a little disoriented afterward but didn't lose consciousness, urinate, or defecate. He has a vet visit scheduled a week from today, but I'm unsure if that's soon enough.

My mom won't take the dog, Roxy, who is about 7 years old, in for treatment. Roxy has had an ear infection for over 3 years and now her ear smells really bad. The dog yelps when barely touched. What can be done to help Roxy, and are there any financial assistance options available?
