My dog Max has a high white blood cell count of 111,000, no appetite, and weakened condition. He has not eaten in 10 days and has undergone tests for pancreatitis, tick and lyme disease, two ultrasounds, six radiographs, and a joint tap, all of which came back negative. He is currently being tested for Addison's disease, but the main concern is the high WBC. Prednisone treatment for two days has not shown significant improvement. Could this be autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA), or is bone marrow cancer a possibility?
