She is constantly licking the area, and her skin appears to be rough, especially on her underside. What could be causing this swelling, and what can I do to help her?

Are you suggesting I take my dog to the vet due to these 'jerk-like' movements that occur when she sleeps? Also, her eyes are half-closed but she definitely is sleeping. Her name is ***** ***** she is part pit and the other part I don't know as my daughter rescued her from a dire situation when she was a puppy. She is (I think) 4 1/2 years old.

My 5-month-old Golden Retriever, Sailor, got into pink fluffy home insulation. She is active but itching her muzzle and eyes, which are puffy, and her muzzle is swollen. What should I do to help her, and should I keep her appointment with the vet if she seems much better by morning?
