Maria C. asked
Scrappy is not playing with his toys, has had accidents in the house, and vomited, but the vomiting has stopped. He alternates between the house and an apartment where he goes to the bathroom more frequently. What could be causing these issues and what should I do?

I have an Aussie-Pit mix that goes to the dog park regularly. She had one dose of Heartguard and within a few days, I noticed her drooling. She also had whipworms that I treated weeks after that, and each time she gets soft stools and a bit depressed for days. I skipped last month's Heartguard as I researched what's best for her in treatments of all worm possibilities in view of her regular visits to the dog park and dog training classes. Can you give me a suggestion for a safe heartworm and intestinal worm preventative for a dog with the MDR1 mutation and has already shown sensitivity to one dose of heart medication and Panacur?

I have a neutered pug with low thyroid count on soloxine 2 mg twice a day. He is fed once a day with diet food, but he isn't losing weight and is breathing hard with swelling. I feed him about 12-14 oz of food daily. What could be causing his weight gain and breathing issues, and what additional tests or changes should I consider?

My 8-year-old ridgeback got into the trash and started showing symptoms of discomfort, including whimpering, shaking, ears back, tail between legs, and refusing to eat. Two weeks ago, he had similar symptoms after getting into the trash, and the vet diagnosed it as back pain, prescribing Tylenol and muscle relaxants. We started the same medication regimen this morning. What could be causing his discomfort, and should we be concerned about his back pain recurring?
