We adopted a dog from a healthy environment. The previous owner wants to have a play date as they miss the dog greatly. We are open to it, but we're unsure about the timing and potential impact on our relationship with the dog. Is there a right time to set up a date? What is too soon? Do we risk going backwards with our relationship with the dog? Additionally, we have another dog in our family. Would there be any issues with the other dog if we met at a neutral location like a park?

My dog is already on carprofen for arthritis, but she is still in pain with the highest dose I can safely give (1mg per lb of body weight 2X a day). Can I use Dr. Jacobs original Pferdesalbe or any human pain cream as well? Or what else could I do for her?

My Brittany ate my lab's Comfortis in addition to her own. The lab takes 1620mg and we give a half a tab to the Brittany who weighs 34 pounds. So she got 2430mg. That was at 9AM California time. I am just finding out about it since I am not the one who fed the dogs breakfast. She seems OK right now at 3PM our time. Do I need to be worried? My phone number is(###) ###-####

My dog was seen by a vet earlier this week for severe vomiting. Full chem panel and CBC as well as abdominal X-ray were normal. Today she has urinated several times in our home, with pools followed by a lot of dribbling in between. She is panting and shaking heavily and cries when bumped a certain way or when attempting to pick her up. I'm concerned she may have a UTI, but not sure what classifies an emergency to contact a local vet.
