We have a small rescued poodle who has had diarrhea since December 23. She was given For-Bid and food for sensitive stomachs, prescribed metronidazole for 7 days, and then given stronger Tylan and Flor-ti-flora, but the diarrhea persists. Her bottom is now sore, and the vet suspects leaky bowel syndrome. Another vet friend suggested the antibiotic might be worsening her condition. She is also eating and drinking excessively, and eats the food of our other overweight rescue dog. What should we do?

My 10-year-old Labrador, Molly, has been scared of stairs and unwilling to go out or eat since yesterday. She is capable of walking but not down the steps, sleeps a lot, and has been hesitant and slow in movement. She usually takes Dasuquin but refused it this morning. What could be causing this behavior and what should I do?

My pit bull, Missy Mae, who is almost 2 years old and weighs about 70 lbs, got into a bag of chocolate bars (Baby Ruth and Butterfinger) and is now vomiting. I want to know if she's going to be okay. What should I do?

I am babysitting a friend's dog named Bear who has had yellow diarrhea for 2 days, occurring 3 times. This is the first time he has been away from his owners. Should I be concerned about stress as a possible cause, and should I take him to a vet?

I have a 1-year-old dog named Sprite, who just completed all booster shots. The vet wants to do a full panel blood test. Is this really necessary, especially since Sprite seems healthy and is a happy 7-pound Chihuahua Poodle mix?
