I am 27 years old and new to this forum. My last period was on July 2nd, and my periods are usually very regular (30 days). However, after an international trip in July, I experienced spotting on July 19th, which lasted for 2 days. I am trying to conceive and had sex before and after the spotting. I have been experiencing pregnancy symptoms like breast soreness, but my period has not returned. I took a pregnancy test on August 8th, which was positive, but a blood test on August 10th and a home pregnancy test today were both negative. What should I do?

I take Tri-nessa as a birth control. Once in a while I accidentally forget to take a pill. If it happens two days in a row, I always start my period on the third day no matter if I take pills the days after. Is this normal?

For 5 or 6 weeks, I have been experiencing headaches that worsen with bending over, coughing, exertion, or Valsalva maneuver. The pain is located above my ears and around the back of my head. My primary care doctor ruled out sinus infection and suggested allergies, but the headaches worsened. He then ordered a brain MRI without contrast and mentioned a lumbar puncture next. My coworker, whose daughter has a brain tumor, questioned why the MRI was without contrast, as it might not detect a tumor. What is the benefit of a 'w/o contrast MRI' if the problem is headaches?
