I am 43 years old and trying to conceive my third child. I had a sonogram and blood test in November, and my doctor told me I am still ovulating. However, I used an ovulation predictor test kit in December and never got a positive result indicating ovulation. I read that some women do not ovulate every cycle. Is this normal?

I am 47 years old and have been on oral birth control (Mircette) for 9 years. I have not missed a pill and have had 2 negative home pregnancy tests and one negative blood test. I have experienced periodic queasiness, dizziness, depression, and left-sided ovarian pain similar to ovulation pain. My last period was longer and heavier than usual. Could I be pregnant or is this perimenopause?

I am 5 months pregnant and recently stopped smoking pot and cigarettes. I stopped when I found out I was 8 weeks pregnant and started to smoke again during my 15th - 20th week pregnancy. I didn't smoke much, the most was 2 cigarettes a day and 1 joint a day. I was wondering if I really harmed my unborn baby.

I drink a lot of diet Pepsi (72 oz/day). My girlfriend told me that aspartame, an ingredient in diet Pepsi, causes formaldehyde to form in the body, which could be harmful. I love my diet Pepsi but don't want to cause health issues. Is aspartame really that bad for you, or is it just another 'sky is falling' warning? If it is harmful, is there a daily allowance that would be okay? I'd hate to give it up altogether. I also drink a lot of water (over 72 oz/day).

A friend of mine thinks she may be pregnant. She believes she has been pregnant for 3 weeks, and her period is a week and a half late. Recently, she took a pregnancy test, and the result was negative. What are the chances that she is pregnant?
