I have been having mouth problems for about six weeks. Originally thought it was just ulcers but it hasn't improved. Dry, very sensitive mouth. Have now developed a soapy taste and it feels like the skin of my palate strips off. I am 72, take no medications, have had a mouth swab checked, had scans of my sinus, been told by two doctors that my mouth looks healthy. Chewing gum helps but certainly does not solve the problem. Currently doing mouth washes with carb soda. That is not helping either. What could be causing these symptoms and what can I do to alleviate them?
