My father is in the hospital with gangrene. They amputated his left leg above the knee, and he now has it in his blood system. They are not giving him antibiotics, and he hasn't been responsive. He is in a long-term care facility called Kindred in Louisville. We want to get him to an acute hospital to save his life, but they are not cooperating. What should I do?

I have periods that last for an average of 3 weeks, with a heavy flow and passing of clots for most of that time, which then lightens toward the end. What could cause this, and is it serious? The doctor has done a pelvic ultrasound, which showed everything is normal.
