My husband was hit by a train and killed last week. I was contacted by family and then called the State Trooper handling the case. I learned that a cousin was notified before me and has been given the choices about what happened with my husband, including cremation. I recently received a call from a funeral home owner stating I need to sign an affidavit to give permission to cremate, but the family says he has already been cremated. I did not want cremation but feel like they already have and want me to sign off on permission for something that is already done. What can I do?
