Are there any lawyers that specialize in student loans and those that have predatory practices with CFNC, a student loan servicer, in North Carolina? I have gathered information to find out that the federal student loan taken out with FAFSA is not guaranteed by federal laws and is owned by a private servicer. The University never stated that the loan would be handled with a private servicer, and now myself and other classmates are finding out we have no protection under the HEROES ACT or the CARES ACT.
