Can I sue the owner of my apartment if it was flooded due to pipes bursting, causing significant damage to my property and rendering the apartment uninhabitable for 7 days? Additionally, the flood restoration company used my outlets without permission, left the apartment unlocked, and unplugged my security camera. I have also been dealing with mold and rodent issues since moving in, and I have Stage 4 Metastatic Lung Cancer. The apartment had a strong smell of urine when I arrived after the incident, and water was leaking in multiple places. I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and I receive project-based rent assistance. I was also threatened with eviction for not paying rent, despite always paying on time, and I had to fight the eviction in court.

My mother passed away and a lawsuit in her name has come up. I am her heir and received a document about the lawsuit. I don't understand what it means and what will happen if I sign it. The lawsuit also involves my father who is in federal prison. What should I do?

I want to get a second opinion on a non-compete agreement. I am considering leaving my current company to work for a similar company and would like to know if the non-compete would prevent me from doing so.

I recently had my truck stolen from in front of my house. I have a Ring Spotlight cam, but there was no video recorded the night my truck was taken due to an update that took the unit offline for 12 hours. Can I sue Ring for the loss of my $13,000 truck?

Hello, since VFWs are independent entities, what if a VFW tells a DJ, who is not a member, to throw you out based on lies that the DJ told about you? Do you sue the VFW or the DJ, and what kind of suit do you bring? Also, what kind of lawyer do you need or do you need a lawyer? I didn’t lose anything monetarily, but I did lose the ability to go back there and have a meal and dance, and my reputation took a hit. The DJ didn’t like me in the first place and then he lied about me in order to get me thrown out.
