My husband's driver's license was suspended in Arizona over 12 years ago. We now live in Georgia and want to get him a license, but Georgia DMV won't issue one until Arizona reissues the license. We filled out a packet from Arizona DMV and returned it, but the court records were purged and they couldn't provide proof that the charges were settled. Georgia DMV still refuses to issue a license and has no advice for us. What should we do to get him a license or at least a permit to get to work and back?

I had a partner who made me buy him a motorcycle, Bowflex gym equipment, and cars under my name and credit. We are no longer together, and I'm dealing with unpaid debts and bills. I tried to contact him, but he doesn't respond. I'm married now, and he is out of the U.S., possibly trying to drop his U.S. citizenship. What can I do to resolve these debts and get him to take responsibility for them?

I was caught shoplifting at Nordstroms today (2 items totaling $160.00) in Miami, FL. I was detained by LP, signed the Nordstrom Admonishment Agreement, and the merchandise was recovered undamaged. I have no criminal record and have never been sued civilly. I know a Notice of Civil Demand is likely, and most attorneys advise ignoring it. However, I was given a number to call to discuss civil restitution. Should I call this number, and could it potentially make the situation worse?
